Welcome to Kenya!, where there are 1000s of children, refugees and orphans eager to meet you and become your friends. Will you come love them and bring some joy to their lives? The Republic of Kenya is a country in Eastern Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the northeast, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest, with the Indian Ocean running along the southeast border. The country is named after Mount Kenya, a significant landmark mountain.

This team will have the privilege of working with Pastor Lucas building a church and ministering to many orphans, children, refugees from Uganda, and adults in this region, as well as, to orphans. Following orientation in Phoenix, Arizona, you travel to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. From there you fly across the Atlantic Ocean to Heathrow airport in London. After a short stay you will fly south across much of the continent of Africa to Nairobi, Kenya, where we will either drive or fly crossing the Great Rift Valley northwest to the Western Province of Kenya that will take you to Mumias, Kenya.

After unpacking and organizing your equipment, you begin your work at the location of the Now the primary work (Church Building Project, Evangelism and Ministry.) During your project time in Kenya you will stay in rented house; now remember that a home in Kenya is far different than a home in the United States. Bathing and laundry may be done using your bucket. Church members will help us with the cooking, over a wood fire, and our laundry at times. You will be helping with the church building projects and ministering to the children, youth, and the church as a whole, as well as Evangelizing in the village.

All too soon you return to Nairobi for some shopping, debrief time, and a flight to Heathrow airport in London, then to Phoenix for your return home.
