Summer Team Leaders:
We are looking for a few good men and women to lead teens where God wants them to be!
Two
to four leaders are needed for each team of 20 team members. Please
understand that as leader that it is all about them, the team, and not
about us personally. To apply as one of the Head leaders you must understand,
sacrifice, selflessness and have a heart of a servant.
In most cases, the head male leaders are in charge of the work project or evangelistic outreach, and the head lady leader is responsible for meal planning and preparation. The head lady leader will be trained and instructed as to nutrition, food preparation in tough circumstances and feeding a group. (Some teams may have the majority of the cooking provided for them.) When out of the project site the head leaders may assign responsibilities to others and raise up leaders in your team, but they are still responsible for their responsible for the assignments they have been given. The All leaders must share the spiritual leadership and other responsibilities. Outlines are provided by Youth Quests to assist in teaching spiritual growth.
What are the Team Leader requirements?
A Youth Quests team leader is a flexible, moldable, teachable, has a servants heart, Common Person, with a strong desire to work with young people, an interest in missions, and most important, a personal relationship with Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost. We believe that the Lord does not call the qualified, but qualifies the call and that the Lord is not looking for abilities, but availabilities. You must be at least 20 years old or older to be a leader; 18 if you are a previous Youth Quests or Spiritual Boot Camp team member or an Elijah Generation International graduate. What are the responsibilities of a Leader?
Leaders are responsible for the health, safety, spiritual growth, discipline, and unity of the team. Responsibilities are assigned according to experience, age, maturity and the servant’s heart of the prospective leader. Youth Quests provides materials for the spiritual growth training while on the field Is there specific training required to be a leader? Potential leaders must attend Youth Quests Leadership Classes. Attendance at the seminar in no way obligates either the participant or Youth Quests. Seminar cost (contact Youth Quests for more information). Most seminars begin Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and end Sunday at around 4:00 p.m. Food and lodging is included in the cost. Child care is not provided.
What is a Team Leader Seminar?
The training you will receive is specially designed to prepare you for a rewarding summer. Youth Quests policies, leading youth, training materials, team unity, cooking, evangelism, construction basics, and practical skills and ideas for leading a team to the mission field and possible hardships are covered.
What are the age limits?
You must be at least 20 years old or older to be a leader; 18 if you are a previous Youth Quests or Spiritual Boot Camp team member or an Elijah Generation International graduate. Responsibilities are assigned accordingly.
How much time involvement?
Leaders for Teens (ages 13-20) 2-8 weeks depending upon the team, some exceptions are permitted for older youth
How much does it cost?
Involvement costs depend on the leader position and field of service. As a Head leader your project expense will be on the average $300.00. As an assistant leader the average cost is $500-$2000 less than the advertised Project Assignment Expense listed in the current Youth Quests brochure. Youth Quests will help you with prayer cards and support letters to help raise prayer and financial support once you accept your team leader assignment. Please keep in mind that donations that you may be able to raise in access of your project expense will help defray the cost of other assistant leaders that may be able to help you and share the work load.
Are my children able to accompany me?
Yes! Children younger than twelve are classified as leader children. Their cost is based on airfare, food, and surface travel costs. In order to raise the prayer support and costs of a child going on the team Youth Quests will help you with Prayer cards and support letters. If your child is in the age group of your team, he or she will be classified as a team member and must raise the total team member cost listed in the Youth Quests Team brochure.
How many members make up a Team?
A team consists of 13-25 young people and 2-4 adult leaders. Each summer we are planning on commissioning many young people to serve the Lord on teams in several countries of the world.

Summer Boot Camp Volunteers
Each year volunteers are needed to help run the Youth Quests’ Boot Camp, a time of training for our summer missionaries. Youth Quests staff alone cannot do this job, so we rely on the help of others. A few of the jobs include; instructors for construction classes, kitchen helpers, maintenance helpers, and specialty volunteers. We prefer a commitment of at least a week and meals and housing are provided. Contact Us to register.
Seasonal Volunteers
Like minded Christian volunteers are always needed, either on site or remotely in many different areas of expertise. In your home you could help with making various evangelism and ministry tools, and recruiting youth. If you choose to come to Phoenix jobs vary depending on the time of year you come, but there is always something you can do and you are always welcome. Adult Trips We are currently working on some mission trips during the rest of the year to provide opportunity for adults to experience the mission field first hand. Get ready to be a part of and see the Lord work in marvelous ways. Minimum time commitment is two weeks. Requirements: obtain passport and raise support to cover transportation and room & board. Overseas Volunteers If you want to experience even more time and immerse yourself in a foreign culture, we are working on short-term and long-term opportunities year round. Volunteers give 2-8 weeks of their time. Requirements: obtain passport, attend a Leader Youth Quests Training, and raise support to cover transportation and room & board.
