Educational and Training Resources For the Individual or Group Missions Trip:
Sharing the salvation plan around the world and to different cultures and religions has it's challenges to our way of thinking. In this section we hope to teach you some ways to adapt to the different cultures around the world. The largest hindrance to reaching the world for Christ on the mission field is that we think that we have it right in our culture and want to change people to our way of doing things or have a superior attitude. This is the reason that people from the Western World are not as popular as they once were internationally.
We are visitors and guests in their world and culture. We are the ones who need to adapt.
1Co 9:19-23 GNB "I am a free man, nobody's slave; but I make myself everybody's slave in order to win as many people as possible. While working with the Jews, I live like a Jew in order to win them; and even though I myself am not subject to the Law of Moses, I live as though I were when working with those who are, in order to win them. In the same way, when working with Gentiles, I live like a Gentile, outside the Jewish Law, in order to win Gentiles. This does not mean that I don't obey God's law; I am really under Christ's law. Among the weak in faith I become weak like one of them, in order to win them. So I become all things to all people, that I may save some of them by whatever means are possible. All this I do for the gospel's sake, in order to share in its blessings" GNB
