Messages from PASTOR DICKSON MARITIM:

We are good over here, but it's not well in Kenya.  Here is a note from Dickson Perech Maritim.  Let's be praying for them.

"Thanks a lot for your Prayers. I’m fine though I lost my friends and my business but I'm grateful my life is preserved by our Lord. I’m still traumatized as I dream of my dead friends at night. I see dead bodies without heads, legs or hands. I hear desperate screams from the dying and the cry of children. I hear the war songs in distance. I know this are just there for a short while and the trauma will be over. Everything is now coming back to normal though many are dead, many more are wounded and more than three hundred families are homeless. A lot of children have become orphans. I don’t yet have the strength to narrate everything so let me stop here for now. Please call me through my phone number and encourage me. The code number is254 and my number is 0727536501.Please I will be so grateful to hear your voice. May God continue to bless you as you pray for a quick healing process of our nation."

Greetings,
Once again I would like to thank you for praying for our nation without ceasing. Peace has now returned but fear is still on. We are now counting our losses. As a nation we now have more than five hundred people dead and over five hundred thousand families made homeless. As an individual I have lost friends and my shop which was my sole source of income. As a ministry I have lost three sisters who were the sponsors and partners in Jesus crosspower ministry of which I’m the director. We had planned to reach out to schools in a way that has never been before this year, and we had prophesied for a new beginning to our ministry. I didn’t know it meant a new one without my sponsors who were among the forty people who were burned to death in a church.
I’m kindly requesting you and the entire youth quest to find a way of assisting us. Though I’m in need of financial to restart my life, I'm very much mindful of the ministry work and don’t wish to stop. Please, I’m asking for your assistance and support. I’m going upcountry to try and trace my friends and also to pay tribute to those who died and were given unceremonious burials. I would also ask you to introduce me to many members of the quest and if anyone wishes to contact me before 16th, I will be reachable through my phone. May God continue to bless you as you stand with us.

Greetings,
Though I’m writing this message in great pain and my left arm on bandages, I’m happy that there are positive developments. I’m leaving the international media to report the negative side because that’s what they do best. We have had big crusades by international preachers before, but this one of Williams Smith and his team from USA have sunk down to the hearts of people of Eldoret. Despite the running battles, the teargas and shootings of the police, they are holding one crusade in the middle of the town. It was so moving to see people kneeling down in deep worship, amidst violence and cries of despair. It was so great that the security personnel forgot themselves for a moment that they put aside their guns went flat on their stomachs and wept emotionally asking God to save our country. How I wished we could have more brave Christians who are willing to be with us at such a time! This is the true Christianity, the personality of Jesus Christ our lord who went to the people in pain. He never only went to parties, but also went to the weeping and suffering in so much that he himself wept. This is a challenge to YOUTH QUEST. How prepared are we to demonstrate our faith? We now have desolate children dying of hunger. These are the people we want to come and preach to them, when peace has been restored. This people need as now.
I was caught up in the turmoil after I rescued a 13yr old girl who was being gang raped by about fifteen men and carried her on my back for more than two kilometers for medication but when I was coming back I met with the police who despite my explanations went ahead to beating me and one hit me with the back of his gun threatening to shoot me, then beat me until I was half conscious and thinking I was dead threw me by the roadside. I’m now in bandages and pain but I’m glad that I saved life. Its now time we stop closing our eyes in the pretends of prayer and do something. Let’s open our eyes wide and see what is required of us by our Lord.
Please, I’m asking you again to stand with me and do something. Jesus crosspower ministry, which I’m the director, lost its financial sponsors in this massacre. Please stand with this ministry and let’s together achieve the Lords commissioning to preach the gospel. Our programs are now in a standstill due to lack of finance. If you are not able for now, please introduce me to somebody or organization that can assist.
We are waiting on you and the gospel is relying on you.
May GOD BLESS YOU.
  YOURS IN CHRIST SERVICE,
PASTOR DICKSON MARITIM.

Dear Brother John Andrews,
Thank you so much for praying with us, surely there is a lot political violence in Kenya. But the leaders are discussing for peace. We have a lot of pressure and difficulties of how we will help the orphans, widows and needy people here. The place they have been staying is flooded with other displaced people, getting water, foods is a big problem.
Many people have been displaced and many are camping in our church without foods and other humanitarian help. Kindly we need your prayers and some help that will support this displaced people camping in our churches. Some churches of opposition side have been burnt down and a lot of destruction is seen all over.
My family, orphans, and others in our ministry are okay and fine we are only missing foods, blankets, clothes and money.
Blessings

Dear Pastor John,
Hope you are praying for us. We are out of our city reaching others that were displaced with last violence. I am in Eldoret the city where the church was burnt with all the people that taking refuge it while my wife and her team are in Kisumu. We are helping them with soaps, foods and drinks. We also give out free of charge bibles, tracts and Christian magazines.
We also take time ministering the word of God to them asking them kindly to maintain love and peace as Jesus Christ deed. It’s a great task but we are asking for your prayers and support to do this work. We cannot sit down when the devil is killing Gods people. We have decided to use all that we have to reach this hurting families and communities. We have found many sleeping in cold without blankets. Its just tears if you look upon what’s taking place here.
Greet everybody in your ministry we love them and do appreciate for their support and prayers.
